CHARGEZONE partners with BRIGHTBLU for large-scale intelligent AC Charger deployment

BRIGHTBLU has made significant strides since its inception in 2019. The company has developed and designed the entire intelligent charging technology stack in-house. Its chargers boast of various features completely unique in the Indian market such as power back-up through the use of super capacitors, on board residual current detection, dynamic power management, and IP65 rated protection. Aside from CHARGEZONE it counts various other CPOs amongst its customers such as JioBP, Zeon and Glida (formerly known as Fortum Charge 'n Drive) amongst others.

This large scale deployment comes at a pivotal time for CHARGEZONE, which recently secured a $19 million commitment from British International Investment (BII), the UK’s development finance institution (DFI) and impact investor. This follows a $54 million Series A1 funding round led by BlueOrchard Finance in March last year. CHARGEZONE, led by Kartikey Hariyani, CEO & Co-Founder, has established itself as one of the leaders in the EV charging sector, providing a healthy mix of AC and DC chargers with over 3,200 points across more than 400 locations in India and the UAE. The firm has partnerships with several OEMs and e-mobility companies, including Hyundai, Mahindra & Mahindra, Ashok Leyland, Volvo Eicher, Tata Motors, Marriott, Hyatt, Fortune, and Landmark Group. The investment from BII is part of CHARGEZONE’s long-term plan to create a network of one million charging points for all 4W categories of vehicles, including cars, buses, and trucks, by 2030. It will focus on key markets such as Delhi, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Chennai.
